Red Barn Below Willard Peak
Driving in northern Utah, barns sit like markers on the land. This red barn wanted to be painted twice in different styles. Red barns are symbolic of so much, but I love that their bright color helps direct ranchers and animals back home during blizzards. I painted the mountains as more of a pattern in the background because of how those hardy, little trees dot the landscape, and to show the repetitive, undulating lines of the slopes.
Watercolor on thick 100% cotton fine art paper ensures vibrant colors and long-lasting beauty set in a 15×18” rustic, black-stained, genuine wood frame.
The classic red American barn is a powerful symbol of strength & shelter. I hope you enjoy how I represented it here. -Staci Sadler, Artist
